Tell us what happened, what you expected, your SeamText version, and your macOS version. A short set of steps helps us reproduce the issue. Please remove personal or confidential information from any example you choose to send.

Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used for the purchase. On Mac, choose SeamText > Restore Purchase. You can also restore from the purchase sheet or the license section in Settings.
An internet connection to the App Store is required. If a purchase does not appear, confirm the account and try again. Contact us if Apple shows a completed purchase but editing remains locked.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Apple manages subscription billing. Open your Apple subscriptions, select SeamText, and follow the cancellation or management options. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If you move from a Mac App Store subscription to a Direct purchase, cancel the subscription through Apple to stop future renewals. A Direct purchase does not cancel an App Store subscription automatically.
The 14-day trial
Choose Start Free Trial in SeamText and review the disclosure before starting. The trial unlocks editing, Word and HTML export, and Copy as Rich Text for 14 days. The App Store must be reachable to establish the purchase state.
The trial does not subscribe you automatically. When it ends, reading, search, outline, PDF export, and printing remain free. Choose a paid plan to continue using the paid capabilities.
Open a Markdown file
On Mac, choose File > Open and select your .md or .markdown file. You can also use Open With in Finder. SeamText opens the file as a formatted document and keeps Markdown as the underlying format.
If the file is in iCloud Drive or another managed folder, make sure it has downloaded to your Mac. For a linked local image, keep its file available and grant access when SeamText requests it.
Export or print
Use the File menu to export a PDF or print. These remain available in the free reader. Word (.docx), HTML export, and Copy as Rich Text require an active trial or paid editing entitlement.
Export creates a separate document. Your original Markdown file stays in its original format. If an export is missing an image, check the image location and file access, then export again.
Basic troubleshooting
Check that your Mac meets the system requirement and that your files are available locally. Close and reopen the document, then restart SeamText if needed.
If editing is unavailable, check the license status and whether Read mode is enabled. If the same file is open in another editor, resolve any external-change notice before continuing. Keep a backup before troubleshooting a document.
When reporting a problem, use a short, non-confidential example if possible. You do not need to send your original document for an initial support request.
