About this policy
This policy describes SeamText, a product of IO Patina LLC, and related product support. It covers the current Mac application. Release status is listed on the SeamText page; this policy will be reviewed when additional platform versions are released.
Your documents
SeamText processes the documents you choose on your device. Document contents are not uploaded to IO Patina servers. No IO Patina product account is required to read or edit your documents.
Documents stay in the locations you choose. Files stored in iCloud Drive or another provider-managed folder may be synchronized by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. SeamText does not operate its own document cloud.
Data stored on your device
The app stores preferences, recent-file references, document presentation and session information, and trial or purchase state locally to provide those functions. Trial information may be stored in the macOS Keychain. Removing the app does not necessarily remove files or Keychain entries.
You control the Markdown files, exported documents, and copies you create. Local presentation settings do not replace the Markdown source file.
Apple purchases and system services
Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, subscriptions, and payments. SeamText uses StoreKit to check the editing entitlement and restore purchases. IO Patina does not receive your payment card details from the app.
Apple and your operating system may process information for their own services, including purchases, diagnostics, file synchronization, and printing, according to their settings and policies. Opening a link in a document hands that destination to your browser or another system application.
Information you send to support
If you contact IO Patina, we receive the contact details, message, and any attachments or diagnostic information you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending confidential document contents.
We keep support correspondence for as long as it is useful for the support relationship or required for legal and accounting purposes, then delete it. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided, subject to applicable requirements.
This website
Visiting iopatina.com is separate from using the SeamText application. Website server logs and the corporate contact form are covered by the IO Patina Website Privacy Notice.
